Baked Apples with Quincy Jelly

Preparation time: 1 hour 15 min.

Maçãs com Geleia de Marmelo, an oldtimer from the Minho Region, Portugal's fruit and vegetable garden.

Ingredients

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven 180°C (375°F).

Place apples in a baking dish. Fill each apple core with a 1/2 tbsp. butter and 1 tbsp of quince jelly. Bake basting occasionally, until apples are very tender and glazed, about 1 hour.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Crème Fraîche or vanilla ice cream will go well with it.
